Connecting Intercom to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into Intercom. Then:
- 1Go to Intercom Developer Hub → Your App → Webhooks
- 2Paste your Hookbase ingest URL
- 3Select the topics you want to subscribe to
- 4Copy the Client Secret and use it as your Hookbase signing secret
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to intercom and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

What a Intercom webhook looks like
A conversation.user.created payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
