Render Webhooks
Cloud hosting platform. Receive events for deploys, service status changes, and build notifications.
Connecting Render to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into Render. Then:
- 1Webhooks require a Render Pro plan or higher
- 2In your Render workspace, go to Integrations → Webhooks and click "+ Create Webhook"
- 3Enter a name and paste your Hookbase ingest URL
- 4Select the events to subscribe to and create the webhook
- 5Open the webhook's Settings page, copy the signing secret and paste it into your Hookbase source
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to standard-webhooks and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.
- Algorithm
- HMAC-SHA256
- Header
- webhook-signature
- Where to find the secret
- Render Dashboard → Integrations → Webhooks → your webhook → Settings → Signing secret

What a Render webhook looks like
A deploy_ended payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
