Connecting Zoom to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into Zoom. Then:
- 1In the Zoom App Marketplace, go to Manage → Created Apps and open your app
- 2Under Features → Access, copy the Secret Token (not the Client Secret) and paste it into your Hookbase source
- 3Under General Features, enable Event Subscriptions and click "Add New Event Subscription"
- 4Add the events you want to subscribe to
- 5Enter your Hookbase ingest URL as the Event notification endpoint URL and click Validate. Hookbase answers Zoom's endpoint.url_validation challenge (and its 72-hour re-validations) with your Secret Token, so paste the Secret Token into Hookbase first
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to zoom and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

A meeting.started payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
