Adyen Webhooks
Enterprise payment platform. Receive events for payments, refunds, chargebacks, and payouts.
Connecting Adyen to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into Adyen. Then:
- 1In your Adyen Customer Area, go to Developers → Webhooks
- 2Click "Create new webhook", then "Add" next to Standard webhook
- 3Under Server configuration, paste your Hookbase ingest URL and set Method to JSON
- 4Under Security → HMAC Key, generate a key, then copy it and paste it into your Hookbase source
- 5Select the events you want to receive and save the webhook
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to adyen and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

- Adyen Customer Area → Developers → Webhooks → create/edit the webhook → Security → HMAC Key: generate it and paste the hex key exactly as shown. Set Method to JSON under Server configuration; only Standard webhooks with JSON are verified.

What a Adyen webhook looks like
A AUTHORISATION payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
