CI/CD platform. Receive events for pipeline completions, job status changes, and workflow updates.
Connecting CircleCI to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into CircleCI. Then:
- 1In CircleCI, open Projects, click the … menu next to your project and choose Project Settings → Webhooks
- 2Click "Add Webhook" and enter a Webhook name
- 3Paste your Hookbase ingest URL into the URL field
- 4Paste the secret Hookbase generated into the Secret token field (optional in CircleCI, but required for Hookbase to verify signatures)
- 5Select the events (workflow-completed, job-completed) and click "Add Webhook"
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to circleci and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

CircleCI event types
2 of the events people route most often. Hookbase accepts every event CircleCI sends, whether or not it is listed here.

A workflow completed (success or failure)
job-completed
A job completed (success or failure)
What a CircleCI webhook looks like
A workflow-completed payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
