Connecting ClickUp to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into ClickUp. Then:
- 1Create a webhook with the ClickUp API: POST /team/{team_id}/webhook
- 2Set endpoint to your Hookbase ingest URL
- 3List the events you want (taskCreated, taskUpdated, etc.)
- 4Copy webhook.secret from the API response and paste it into your Hookbase source as the Webhook Secret
- 5Only webhooks created through the API are signed (X-Signature). Automation 'Call webhook' actions are not signed
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to clickup and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

What a ClickUp webhook looks like
A taskCreated payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
