Connecting Etsy to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into Etsy. Then:
- 1In the Etsy Developer Portal, go to Manage your apps, open your app's menu and click "Go to Webhook portal"
- 2Click "+ Add Endpoint" and paste your Hookbase ingest URL
- 3Select the events to subscribe to (order.paid, order.canceled, order.shipped, order.delivered) and click Create
- 4Open the endpoint's details, reveal the Signing secret (whsec_...) and paste it into your Hookbase source
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to etsy and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.
