Connecting Netlify to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into Netlify. Then:
- 1In Netlify, go to Project configuration → Notifications → Deploy notifications
- 2Click "Add notification" → HTTP POST request
- 3Select the event to notify on and paste your Hookbase ingest URL as the URL to notify
- 4Paste the secret Hookbase generated into the JWS secret token field (optional in Netlify, but required for Hookbase verification)
- 5Save, and add one notification per deploy event you want
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to netlify and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

What a Netlify webhook looks like
A deploy_succeeded payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
