Connecting HubSpot to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into HubSpot. Then:
- 1Go to your HubSpot developer account → Apps → your app → Webhooks
- 2Set the Target URL to your Hookbase ingest URL
- 3Create subscriptions for the object types and events you need
- 4Activate the subscriptions
- 5Copy the Client secret from the app's Auth tab and paste it into your Hookbase source
- 6Only the v3 signature is checked. Workflow "Send a webhook" actions that carry only the older X-HubSpot-Signature (v1/v2) won't verify, so use a separate source with "Reject invalid signatures" off for those
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to hubspot and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.
