Connecting New Relic to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into New Relic. Then:
- 1In one.newrelic.com go to Alerts → Destinations and click the Webhook tile
- 2Name the destination and paste your Hookbase ingest URL as the Endpoint URL
- 3Turn on Use authorization, choose Bearer Token, and paste the Bearer Token Hookbase generated for this source. This is required, or every delivery fails verification. Don't use Basic Authentication
- 4Save the destination
- 5Under Alerts → Workflows, create or edit a workflow and add this webhook destination to it
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to newrelic and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

- one.newrelic.com → Alerts → Destinations → Webhook → Use authorization → Bearer Token. New Relic sends it as 'Authorization: Bearer <token>'. Don't choose Basic Authentication: Hookbase verifies only the Bearer Token.

What a New Relic webhook looks like
A INCIDENT_OPEN payload. Hookbase stores the raw body exactly as it arrived, so this is also what you get back on a replay.
