Connecting PagerDuty to Hookbase
Create a source in Hookbase first — it gives you an ingest URL to paste into PagerDuty. Then:
- 1Go to PagerDuty → Integrations → Generic Webhooks (v3)
- 2Click "New Webhook" and paste your Hookbase ingest URL into the Webhook URL field
- 3Choose the events under Event Subscription
- 4Click "Add Webhook"
- 5Copy the secret from the confirmation dialog now, because it is shown only once, and paste it into your Hookbase source
Signature verification
Set the source's provider to pagerduty and paste the signing secret. Every request is checked before the event is stored, and anything that fails is rejected rather than quietly recorded.

- PagerDuty → Integrations → Generic Webhooks (v3) → New Webhook → Add Webhook. The secret appears once in the confirmation dialog; copy it then (recreate the webhook if you lose it).
